Thompson Gray is proud to announce the promotion of Todd Johnston to President of the company, a strategic step forward as we position our organization for long-term growth and operational excellence.

Since joining Thompson Gray, Todd has brought clarity, structure, and discipline to how we operate. From refining our operational model and enhancing accountability to strengthening delivery systems and financial execution, his leadership has created the foundation for sustainable, strategic growth. He has formalized critical processes, sharpened our business rhythms, and helped align our capabilities with the evolving needs of the market.

Beyond operations, Todd is a trusted communicator and relationship builder. He’s helped articulate who we are and why our work matters—building strong relationships across our teams, customer base, community, and industry partners. Under his guidance, we’ve already seen lasting improvements in how we think, lead, and deliver.

As President, Todd will lead day-to-day operations and oversee execution across the company. He’ll continue to work closely with the Executive Team to evaluate growth opportunities and ensure our strategy remains aligned with customer needs and mission priorities.

We’re also excited to announce that Lyndsey Shelton has been promoted to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Lyndsey’s leadership has been instrumental in expanding our revenue base, advancing new capabilities, and building a high-performing team that reflects the future of Thompson Gray. Her mentorship has shaped the development of Vice Presidents Ashley Lipham and Dani Edde, both of whom continue to lead with excellence and impact.

In her new role as CRO, Lyndsey will oversee all managed revenue across the company and serve as a strategic partner to our EVP and VP leaders, including Pat Riley, Ashley Lipham, and Dani Edde. She will focus on horizontal coordination, scalable growth, and cross-functional alignment—ensuring Thompson Gray continues to grow cohesively as one team.

We’d also like to reaffirm that Pat Riley will remain Executive Vice President, continuing to lead our Northern Virginia portfolio. Pat’s steady leadership and strategic oversight have guided Thompson Gray through key phases of growth and remain vital to our continued success.

Ron Gray will continue serving as Chief Executive Officer, focusing on long-term vision, company values, and Board leadership. In this role, he’ll provide counsel and strategic support to Todd and the broader leadership team while continuing to guide the company’s mission and vision.

This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Thompson Gray—one built on trust, clarity, and shared ambition. We’re energized by what lies ahead and confident in the team leading the way.
