1. What is your role at Thompson Gray and what program do you currently assist on?

My current role is a Program Manager for the newer, established Orlando team where I help oversee projects, maintain communication between our clients, and provide guidance for employees.  The Orlando team currently assists the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training & Instrumentation (PEO STRI), specifically working with the Synthetic Training Environment Cross Functional Team (STE CFT). Before coming to work for Thompson Gray, I worked for PEO STRI as a SETA contractor supporting Unit Training and Facilities Management. Making that transition to Thompson Gray was an easy one because I already had working knowledge and established connections with PEO STRI. I am a retired U.S. Army, and my Army experiences have allowed me to provide recommendations for accomplishing tasks, protocols, and interpreting the higher elements orders. I also have a better understanding of the importance of Thompson Gray’s role with our customers since being retired military.

3. What aspect of your job and in working with customers, do you consider yourself an expert?

I consider myself an expert in Operations, specifically Operation Orders and Task Management. Because of my time in the military I have a more holistic understanding of my role and how to help our Soldiers. I am also an expert at managing training, and personnel management for Active Duty Soldiers.

I spent 24 and a half years in the military, and although I’m retired, I’m still able to stay connected with the U.S. Army and serve our Nation in a new way. I feel fulfilled knowing I help continue the Army mission by providing the best support possible for Soldiers.
